Trim My Tax provides an informational property-assessment screening and assessment review packet service. This policy explains the information we collect and how it is used.

Information you provide

When you use Trim My Tax, you may provide a property address, prior and current assessed values, and an email address. If you begin or complete checkout, we may also store information associated with that transaction, such as checkout status and a Stripe Checkout session identifier.

How we use information

We use submitted information to calculate your assessment review signal, identify relevant housing-market data, create a purchased Assessment Review Packet, deliver that packet, provide checkout recovery when permitted, operate the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Trim My Tax does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Stripe processes payment information according to its own privacy and security practices.

Service providers and public data

Trim My Tax uses third-party services and public data sources to operate the service, including services for hosting, payments, email delivery, address lookup, mapping, and housing-market information. Property and location information may be sent to these services when necessary to provide the requested functionality.

Email

We may email you a purchased report and transactional information related to your order. Where permitted and where appropriate consent has been collected, we may also send a limited reminder about an unfinished checkout. Reminder emails include an unsubscribe option.

Data retention and security

We retain information as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain transaction records, provide purchased reports, prevent abuse, and meet applicable business or legal requirements. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
